On July 17, His Grace Michael, Bishop of New York and New Jersey (OCA) met with His Eminence Archbishop Justinian at St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City. His Eminence gave Bishop Michael a tour of  the interior of the Cathedral, and discussed its current parish life.

The Archpastors then continued their meeting in the Office of the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA. They discussed various topics regarding parish life, further joint projects and interests. Taking part in the meeting was Hieromonk John (Roschin), representative of the Moscow Patriarchate to the WRPC to the United Nations.
