On December 4, the great feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia served the Divine Liturgy with His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of all America and Canada in the Cathedral of the Dormition in Moscow, Russia. 

The primates of the two churches were co-served by, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations; Administrative Secretary of the Moscow Patriarchate, Bishop Sergey of Solnechnogorsk; Bishop Tikhon of Podolsk; Bishop Alexander of Toledo (OCA); the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk; as well as clergy of the Moscow Diocese and the OCA delegation.

Singing during the Divine Liturgy was the choir of the Zaikonospassky Monastery "Blagozvonnitsa".

Traditionally during the Feast of the Entry of the Theotokos, representatives of the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces "Peter the Great" prayed during the Divine Services.  

After the Augmented Litany, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill prayed for peace in the Ukraine.

During the Liturgy, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill preformed the ordination into the Priesthood of Deacon Sergius Shindarova, cleric of St. Nicholas Church on Rogozhskoe Cemetery in Moscow.

 After the Liturgy, His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill addressed worshippers with a sermon. The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed Metropolitan TIkhon and gifted him a cross and Panagia.

Later in the day, Metropolitan Tikhon preformed a Moleben at the relics of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia in the Donskoy Monastery in Moscow, Russia. The feast of the Entry of the Holy Theotokos marks the anniversary of the enthronement of St. Tikhon to the Patriarchal Throne.
