Seven Tons of Humanitarian Aid Sent to Ukraine

With the Blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia and the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Eastern American Diocese worked jointly to send over seven tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

On April 29, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk and Eastern American Diocesan Vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan along with the Chancellor of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad, Archpriest Serafim Gan; Secretary to the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov); and project activist Ivan Baldychev, met with members of the international shipping firm "Aero Deluxe Shipping Inc." to ship the tons of clothes, food and medicine to Ukraine. The president of the company, Pavel Kalinovsky graciously provided the housing and transportation of the aid. 

Bishop John expressed his gratitude to the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church as well as the humanitarian mission Mercy Without Borders in Ukraine who will be the recipients and distributers of the aid to the citizens of Ukraine.
