Hierarchal Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Transfiguration

On the Great Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City.

The previous evening, His Grace led the All-Night Vigil, co-served by cathedral clergy. Prior to the beginning of the service, Bishop John awarded cathedral cleric Deacon Mark Rashkov the right to wear the double-orarion.

After the reading of the Holy Gospel at the Divine Liturgy, Bishop John delivered a sermon dedicated to the feast. During the Augmented Litany, prayers for peace in the Ukrainian land were read aloud.

After the Prayer before the Ambo, His Grace blessed the first-fruits of this year's harvest.
