This year is especially momentous for the parish of St. Innocent. A number of events have been planned throughout the year to celebrate the momentous occasions. On Sunday, September 3, the parish celebrated the fiftieth wedding anniversary of their beloved rector, Archpriest Roman Star and his matushka, Rose-Marie. That day, Fr. Roman led the Divine Liturgy co-served by parish clerics, Priests Daneil Shirak and Joshua Genig. A choir comprised of many singers adorned the services. At its conclusion, a congratulatory message was read aloud from His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA. Afterwards, the parish held a luncheon for Fr. Roman and Matushka where additional expressions of love and appreciation were exchanged.
