Bishop John Visits Greek Monastery in Florida

On Tuesday, January 30, while on an Archpastoral visit to Florida, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk visited the Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Blachernae Icon of the Theotokos in WIlliston, FL. Bishop John met with the Abbot of the monastery, Fr. Polycarp who gave His Grace a tour of the grounds and talked about the current monastic life. This monastery, like many other Greek monasteries in the United States was founded by Archimandrite Efren (Moraitis). Bishop John presented the abbot with paintings of the Trinity St-Sergius Lavra and the Optina Hermitage in honor of his visit.
