On February 20, 2023, in Springfield, VA, at the Interim Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America, its Primate, His Beatitude Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America & Canada, received Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, rector of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City, at his request.

During the conversation, Fr. Igor thanked His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon for the honor of meeting him at the beginning of his ministry in the United States of America and expressed his readiness to help in every possible way to strengthen fraternal relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church in America. His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon spoke to the newly appointed Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States about the contemporary development of Orthodox life in the Americas and extended his blessing for his further work.
