Prayer at the grave of S. V. Rachmaninoff on his 150th birthday

On April 1, the day of the 150th birthday of great Russian composer Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff, cleric of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York performed a memorial service at his grave at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York. The service was led by the cleric of the cathedral, Vice-Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Priest Mark Rashkov.

Before the memorial service, the trio "Capella" performed one of the most beautiful works of the composer, "Rejoice O Lady Full of Grace." After the prayer, the participants of the event recalled the stages of the life of Sergei Vasilyevich, especially noting his long stay in America. Returning to New York, the group made a stop near the house where Rachmaninoff lived for more than 10 years of his life.
