On Monday August 26, a meeting was held between the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk and the Deputy Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Mr. Alexander Pankin. 

Alexander Anatolivich discussed with His Grace that the letter by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill was delivered to the intended addressees: UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres.

His Grace and Alexander Anatolivich also discussed joint ventures between the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA and the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations. Mr. Pankin then congratulated His Grace with his Episcopal Consecration and appointment as Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA.
