On October 7-8, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) prayerfully commemorated the repose of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh in St. Sergius Cathedral in Cleveland, OH. This event also culminated ROCOR's official celebrations of the 700th Anniversary of the Saints' Birth alongside celebrations being held in the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA participated in the Divine Services.
The evening before the feast, October 7, the All-Night Vigil was presided by His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. With the blessing of the First Hierarch, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk presided over the festal Litya.
The festal Divine Liturgy was presided by His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion. His Eminence was co-served by members of the ROCOR Synod of Bishops:

The Miracle-Working Kursk-Root Icon of the Theotokos was available for veneration during the Divine Services as well as a piece of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
Before the Communion of the faithful, Archimandrite Makary (Veretennikov) of the Holy Trinity-St.Sergius Lavra, Russia and Professor of the Moscow Theological Academy delivered a sermon on the importance of the feast and the commemoration of St. Sergius.
The Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York City, Igor Leonidovich Golubovsky was present for the Divine Services.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a procession was held around the cathedral. Upon its completion, Metropolitan Hilarion blessed a new bell-tower constructed in honor of the 700th Anniversary of the Birth of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
