On Saturday, November 8, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia; His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk met with the head of the Orthodox Church in America, the Most Blessed Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of all America and Canada. The meeting took place in St. Vladimir's Seminary in Crestwood, NY.

Taking part in the meeting was the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk; Archpriest John Jillions, OCA Chancellor and Protodeacon John Matusiak, Secretary to the Metropolitan. 

The Archpastors held discussions about inter-Orthodox issues as well as two-sided cooperation between the Moscow Patriarchate and the OCA.
