Bishop John Participates in OCA Epsicopal Consecration

On Saturday, January 24, the Episcopal Consecration of Archimandrite Daniel (Brum) as the Bishop of Santa- Rosa, Vicar of the Diocese of the West of the Orthodox Church in America took place in Holy Trinity Cathedral in San Francisco, California.

The Divine Services and Episcopal Consecration was presided by the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of all America and Canada. His Beatitude was co-served by members of the OCA Holy Synod of Bishops as well as the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Tikhon greeted the newly-consecrated archpastor and presented him with the Archpastoral Staff. Bishop Daniel then blessed the faithful for the first time.

Bishop John then congratulated Bishop Daniel on his Episcopal Consecration and presented him with an icon of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk.
