On Saturday December 11, a meeting was held between the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk and the Coptic Bishop David of New York and New England. 

During the meeting, Bishop David personally extended his condolences on behalf of Coptic Christians to the families of the passengers who perished in the Russian airliner that crashed in the Sinai Peninsula. Bishop John also discussed the efforts put forth by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia to assist in bringing peace to the region. 

Afterwards, Bishop John led Bishop David on a tour of St. Nicholas Cathedral.
