Icon of the Mother of God "Softener of Evil Hearts" Visits St. Nicholas Cathedral

On Saturday March 19, the feast of Great Martyr Theodore of Tyro, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk served the Divine Liturgy in the priestly-rite in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City. His Grace was co-served by cathedral clergy.

Prior to the start of the Divine Liturgy, the wonder-working, Myrrh-streaming Icon of the Mother of God "Softener of Evil Hearts" was brought to the cathedral.

After the Augmented Litany, His Grace raised prayers for the passengers tragically killed in the plane crash in the city of Rostov-on-the-Don in Russia.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, the traditional Moleben to St. Theodore and blessing of the Kolivo was performed.
