On January 6-7, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the divine services for the feast of the Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City.
On Friday evening, January 6, Bishop John led the All-Night Vigil for the feast co-served by cathedral clergy. Bishop John greeted the faithful at the service's conclusion after which the Hierarchal Choir sang traditional Christmas carols.
At midnight, January 7, His Grace Bishop John led the festal Divine Liturgy. During the Communion of the clergy, the Nativity Epistle of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia was read aloud. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Bishop John addressed the faithful with a sermon dedicated to feast.
