On January 18-19, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the Divine Services for the feast of the Baptism of Christ in St. Nicholas Cathedral in NYC. On Wednesday morning, Bishop John led the reading of the Royal Hours, Typica and the Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great, co-served by cathedral clergy. Upon the completion of the Liturgy, Bishop John performed the Great Blessing of Water in the cathedral's refectory.
On Wednesday evening, Bishop John led the Grand Compline and festal Matins. On Thursday morning, Bishop John led the festal Divine Liturgy. After the reading of the Gospel, Bishop John delivered a sermon dedicated to the feast. After the Prayer before the Ambo, the clergy once again proceeded to the cathedral refectory where Bishop John led the Great Blessing of Water. Afterwards, Vladika John blessed the cathedral and adjacent administrative offices of the Patriarchal Parishes.
