On Sunday of Orthodoxy, Bishop John Serves at Divine Liturgy in Holy Trinity Greek Cathedral in New York City

On Sunday March 5, the first Sunday of Great Lent - the Triumph of Orthodoxy, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America led the Divine Liturgy and Rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy in Holy Trinity Archdiocesan Cathedral in New York City. His Eminence was co-served by the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk and a multitude of hierarchs from the Churches of Constantinople, Serbia and America.

The Divine Liturgy was served in Greek, Church Slavonic and English. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Archbishop Demetrios greeted all the hierarchs, clergy and faithful who gathered for the feast. Afterwards, on behalf of the hierarchs, Bishop John thanked the head of the Greek Archdiocese in America for the invitation to concelebrate at the Divine Liturgy as well as serving as a witness of the unity in Christ the archpastors of the various jurisdictions were able to share on the First Sunday of Great Lent.

Interaction continued between the hierarchs, clergy and faithful during a lenten luncheon.
