On April 16, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the Divine Services for the Great Feast of the Resurrection of Christ in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City. His Grace was co-served by cathedral clergy.
Prior to the start of the Midnight Office, His Grace entered the cathedral and venerated the Holy Shroud. At midnight, the Paschal Procession began culminating with the exclamation of the triumphant words "Christ is Risen"!
The Paschal Divine Liturgy was served immediately after. The Paschal Gospel was read aloud in Church Slavonic, Greek, English, Latin, Hebrew, Ukrainian, Belorussian and Moldovan
During the Communion of the clergy, the Paschal Epistle of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill was read aloud.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop John performed the blessing of the Artos.

Later in the day, the Paschal Vespers was served in St. Nicholas Cathedral led by Bishop John. A festal luncheon was prepared by the Youth Department of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA for all in the parish refectory.
