Parishes Announce Festivals to be Held in the Fall

During the Fall months, a number of parishes within the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA will be holding annual cultural festivals and parish picnics. The parishes invite those who are in the local areas of the events to partake in a wonderful opportunity for fellowship. If a parish is holding a festival in the near future, please email necessary information towebmaster@mospatusa.com to be included in the featured list. 

St. John the Baptist Church in Little Falls, NJ invites its parishioners, friends and neighbors to its parish picnic slated to be held on September 17 (rain date Sept. 24). The day will begin with the Divine Liturgy at 9:30am, with the picnic starting approximately at 12:00pm.

Saint Michael's Russian Festival, hosted by St. Michael the Archangel Church in Philadelphia, is a popular and festive event, held during the first full weekend of October, (Oct. 6-8), features the range of Russian food delights for lunch through dinner, live accordion music, the Sunday School's Russian Dancers, and specialty shops for Russian-made artifacts, books of interest, handmade decorations, chance-drawing opportunities, and a variety of collectibles and treasures for recycling for further enjoyment.

Holy Trinity Church in Baltimore invites all to its 44th Annual Russian Festival slated to be held October 20-22. This year's patron saint of the festival is St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia. During this festive weekend, the parish invites you to sample the many foods, souvenirs and entertainment.  All of the food – ranging from the hot dishes and breads to the many desserts – is prepared by parishioners.  Most of the souvenirs have been imported from Russia.  Beautiful icons fashioned by the faithful in Russia, dolls, pins, paintings are just some of the beautiful expressions of faith and love witnessed today in Holy Rus’.

St. Nicholas Church in Brookside, Alabama will hold its 35th Annual Food Festival sponsored by the Sisterhood of St. Olga in the parish hall; with traditional eastern european foods and pastries, russian imports for purchase and tours of historic St. Nicholas Church which is over 100 years old. The event is scheduled for November 4-5 and draws hundreds of southerners yearly interested in learning more about the Russian Orthodox Church, slavic culture and its cuisine.
