On Saturday, September 23, the feast of St. Sergius of Radonezh (according to the New Calendar), the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of all America and Canada led the patronal feastday services of the house chapel at the administrative center of the OCA.
His Beatitude was co-served by His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA; His Grace Bishop Irinej of the Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church as well as local clergy from local jurisdictions. Also participating in the service was faculty and students of St. Vladimir's Theological Seminary.
At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Tikhon congratulated the clergy and guests with the feast of St. Sergius. Interaction between the hierarchs, clergy and parishioners continued over a festal luncheon.
