On Sunday, October 1, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the Divine Liturgy for the Sunday after the Elevation of the Cross in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City.

During Divine Liturgy, augmented prayers were raised for peace in Ukraine. After the Gospel, Bishop John delivered a sermon on the topic of the Sunday Gospel reading. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Bishop John and the clergy venerated the Holy Cross.
