Bishop John Leads Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in San Francisco, California

On Sunday, October 22, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in San Francisco, California. 

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Bishop John delivered a sermon. He then expressed his gratitude to former rector, Priest Leonid Kazakov for all his labors in caring for the parishioners of the Patriarchal Cathedral. Fr. Leonid completed his time of appointment in the United States, and by decision of the Holy Synod (Journal № 97), has been returned to the Saint Petersburg Metropoliate. Bishop John then introduced Priest Alexey Bykon who will be caring for the pastoral needs of the parishioners.

After the luncheon, Bishop John  lead a meeting of the parish council and answered a number of questions regarding parish life.
