Bishop John Serves at Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Moscow

On Sunday, December 3, the 26th Sunday after Pentecost, with the blessing of Hs Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia and at the invitation of parish rector, Bishop Antony of Zvenigorod, Divine Liturgy was served in the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Moscow.

The Divine Liturgy was led by Archbishop Amvrossy of Peterhoff, rector of the Saint Petersburg Theological Academy. From 2006-2008, Archbishop Amvrossy served as rector of the parish. His Eminence was co-served by the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk; Bishop Antony of Zvenigorod, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department of Institutions Abroad and Bishop Matthew of Bogorodsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in Italy.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy a short moleben was served before the relics of St. John the Baptist. Afterwards, Bishop Antony warmly greeted the visiting hierarchs and thanked them for their prayers.
