On Wednesday, December 6, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia met with the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of all America and Canada at the Patriarchal Residence in Danilov Monastery in Moscow.
His Beatitude was accompanied by members of the official delegation from the Church in America, Bishop Daniel of Santa Rosa; Archpriest Daniel Andrejuk, Rector of Saint Tikhon of Moscow Church, Anchorage, AK; Melanie Ringa OCA Treasurer; Archdeacon Joseph Matusiak; and Subdeacon Roman Ostash.
Attending the meeting from the Moscow Patriarchate was the chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk; Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA; Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR Deputy Chairman and other DECR staff.
The Primates of the Churches of Russia and America prayed in the house church of All Saints Glorified in the Russian Lands.
After the meeting, Patriarch Kirill and Metropolitan Tikhon exchanged commemorative gifts.
