Bishop John Leads Centennial Celebrations in St. Nicholas Church in Chester, PA

On December 24, the Sunday of the Forefathers, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Church in Chester, PA marking the centennial anniversary of the parish's founding. His Grace was co-served by parish rector, Archpriest Alexey Bocharnikov and clergy accompanying His Grace.

Before the start of the Liturgy, Bishop John tonsured parish altar server Mikhail Sidorochev a reader.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Bishop John congratulate Fr. Alexey and the parishioners with the momentous occasion. He noted the efforts of the parishioners in the upkeep and revitalization of the parish. In honor of the anniversary, Bishop John presented the parish with an icon of the Theotokos. Bishop John also presented a number of hierarchal gramotas to a number of dedicated parish workers. Interaction continued between the hierarch and parishioners over a luncheon.
