On Sunday, February 4, the Sunday of the Prodigal Sun and the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Church of Russia, His Grace Bishop Vikenty of Zlatoustovsk and Satkinsk led the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in San Francisco. His Grace was co-served by cathedral rector, Priest Alexey Bykon. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Vikenty delivered a sermon and greeted the rector and parishioners with the feast.

Bishop Vikenty is currently visiting the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia, and at the invitation of His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA from February 4-15.

Interaction continued in the refectory during which Vladika Vikenty talked to parishioners about current parish life in Russia, and specifically in his diocese.
