On May 26-27, the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles (Pentecost), the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City.
After the reading of the Holy Gospel, Bishop John delivered a sermon dedicated to the feast.
Immediately following Divine Liturgy, Great Vespers for the feast of Pentecost was served during which Bishop John led the reading of the Kneeling Prayers. During the singing of the Great Prokimen, rose petals were strewn from the center cupola of the cathedral to the faithful below symbolizing the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles.
