On Sunday, August 5, the feast of the Pochaev icon of the Mother of God, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City.

Before the start of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop John tonsured a reader, and ordained to the subdiaconate cathedral altar server, Alexey Dementyev. 

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Bishop John delivered a sermon on the theme of the appointed Gospel reading.
