On Tuesday, July 14, with the blessing of Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA on the feast of the Procession of the LIfe-Giving Wood of the Cross of our Lord, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Chapel of St. John of Kronstadt in the House of Mercy in Brooklyn, NY by Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov; cleric of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral). 

Praying at the service were saff members of the charitable foundation "St. John Give Hope ", as well as the residents of the house of mercy.

After Holy Communion,  the Lesser Blessing of Water and consecration of honey was performed. At the end of the service the Abbot Nicodemus addressed the believers with a sermon, and also presented an icon of Christ the Savior "True Vine," written by recovering alcoholics and drug addicts at the Danilov Monastery in Moscow.
