Deans and Parish rectors of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA

Esteemed father deans and parish rectors of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA,

This message serves to inform you that the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church under the chairmanship of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia on October 15, 2018, relieved Bishop John of Naro-Fomisnk from the Administration of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and appointed Bishop Matthew of Sourozh (Pronunciation: sOO-rozh) as interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in the USA.

During the divine services after the commemoration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, the new administrator is to be commemorated as “and our Lord, the most reverend Bishop Matthew…”

Until special instructions are received from the new interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, communication with the Diocesan Center will be remain unchanged, through the Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Archpriest Igor Tarasov.
