Bishop Matthew chairs inaugural meeting of the Bishop's Council

Following the Divine Services in Holy Trinity Church in Baltimore, MD, May 4, the interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh chaired the first meeting of the Bishop's Council for 2019. 

Before the start of the meeting, Bishop Matthew presented longtime council secretary Archpriest Emil Minkovich with the jubilee medal in honor of “the 100th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.” 

In the course of their work, the council members discussed a range of issues related to the activity of the Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA this year including preparations for the Diocesan Conference of Clergy and Laity of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA in 2019 as well as the 50th anniversary of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, which will be celebrated in 2020.

The financial report of Treasurer, Panagiotis Billis was heard and adopted.
