On Tuesday, October 8, Matushka Pamela-Ann Micek, wife of Archpriest Basil Micek (rector of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Scranton, PA) and longtime member of the Bishop's Council of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, reposed in the Lord after a serious illness. 

Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh relayed his condolonces to the family and relatives of the newly-reposed.

Dear Fr. Basil, Dear Joseph, Timothy and Nicholas, Brothers and Sisters!

With profound sadness I learned of the repose of your dear Matushka Pamela-Ann. I grieve with you, and your entire parish on the loss of your beloved Matushka.

Matushka Pamela earned a reputation of being a true laborer for Christ. As the wife of a priest, she bore the heavy cross together with her husband, Fr. Basil, in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Scranton. She was, and will forever, remain a cornerstone of this parish’s 120 year history. She and Fr. Basil raised a true Orthodox family, teaching their dear sons to love Christ and His Church, just as much as she had.  For many years, she was a member of the Bishop’s Council, serving as an indispensable aide to the past and present Administrators of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA. May her dedication and zeal serve as an example for the future generations of parishioners of this parish.

I would like to assure you all of our prayers for her immortal soul; that the Merciful Lord vouchsafe unto this devoted handmaiden the Kingdom of Heaven, granting all of you His comfort in these mournful days.

Funeral Service:
Saturday, October 12^th at 10:00 AM (serving clergy are asked to bring their white vestments)
