The Primate of the Orthodox Church in America arrived in Moscow

On December 5, His Beatitude Tikhon, Metropolitan of All America & Canada, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the OCA Metochion Church.

The delegation includes Archbishop David of Sitka & Alaska; Archimandrite Andrei (Hoarste); bishop-elect of Cleveland, Vicar of the Romanian Episcopate; Archpriest Alexander Rentel, chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America; Archpriest Daniel Andrejuk, rector of the OCA Metochion Church in Moscow; and Archdeacon Joseph Matusiak, secretary to the Metropolitan.

Protopresbyter Daniel Hubiak, the first rector of the Metochion Church, also arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebration.

His Beatitude and the delegation were met at Sheremetyevo airport by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR); Bishop Kliment of Krasnoslobodsk & Temnikov; Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; Abbot Theophan  (Lukianov), head of the DECR Protocol Department; and Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations.
