On Sunday, March 15, the Second Sunday of Great Lent and feast of St. Gregory Palamas, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City.

During the service, special petitions and prayers were offered from the moleben in Time of Devastating & Death-bearing Pestilence

March 15th was declared by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, as National Prayer Day for all victims of the coronavirus, and for the success of the nationwide effort to combat the disease.

The administration of St. Nicholas Cathedral, with the blessing of the Hierarchy of the Russian Orthodox Church, has taken all necessary safety measures related to the prevention of coronavirus.

In the event that civil authorities prohibit mass meetings and events, including worship, changes in the schedule of services are possible. The parishioners of the cathedral will be informed of all changes in a timely manner on the official website and in social networks.
