On Wednesday, December 2, the Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Archpriest George Konyev celebrated a milestone - his 30th anniversary of ordination to the Holy Priesthood.  On this date in 1990, Fr. George was ordained by His Eminence Metropolitan John (Snychev; +1995) of Leningrad & Ladoga in St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral in present day St. Petersburg, Russia. On behalf of the Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop Mathew of Sourozh and the Chancery Administration, Priest Mark Rashkov and Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov) congratulated Fr. George with the occasion during a meeting in St. John the Baptist Church in Little Falls, NJ.

Dear Father George,

Accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your 30th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood!

A major part of your service took place within the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, aside from your longtime obedience as rector of Three Saints Church in Garfield NJ, you diligently labored for the benefit of our parishes on a church-wide level as treasurer, dean, member of the Bishop’s Council, and currently as chancellor. As a responsible aide to the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, you provided valuable assistance in caring for the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate, preserving administrative succession which is a vital part of the chancery’s effectiveness.

On this memorable day for you and your spiritual children, I would like to express, dear Father George, my gratitude for your labors, and to wish you strong health and God’s all strengthening support in the work that lays ahead.
