On November 1, 2024, on the eve of Demetrius Soul Saturday, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, prayed at the evening requiem service in St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City.

On Soul Saturday itself, the bishop will visit St. Nicholas Church in Bayonne, New Jersey, where he will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and a panihida.
