On December 7, 2024,  the Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh began his archpastoral visit to the West Coast of the United States.

Upon arrival, the bishop visited the Kazan metochion of the monastery in honor of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki in Spokane, Washington, where he met with the rector of the metochion, Hieromonk Tikhon (Pashkov).

The archpastor became acquainted with the life of the metochion and talked with its inhabitants. Bishop Matthew is accompanied on the trip by his personal secretary Nikolai Trubnikov.
