On the eve Laudation of the Theotokos, Bishop Matthew officiated Matins & reading of the Akathist in St. Nicholas Cathedral
On April 4, 2025, on the eve of Saturday of the 5th week of Great Lent - the feast of the Laudation of the Mother of God (Akathist Saturday), Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, officiated Matins with the reading of the Akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos in St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York.
His Grace was co-served by cathedral rector, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, and cathedral clergy.
