On May 14, 2026, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh—Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada—arrived in New York, as part of his Paschal visit to North America.

In St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City, His Grace was welcomed by the clergy and staff of the cathedral. After offering prayers before the holy shrines, Bishop Matthew discussed the schedule of upcoming divine services with the clergy and reviewed current parish and diocesan affairs.

The Hierarch is accompanied on his journey by his personal secretary, Subdeacon Nicholas Trubnikov.
