All-Night Vigil on Eve of Patronal Feast of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City

On the evening of May 21, 2026—the eve of the feast of the Translation of the Relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from Myra in Lycia to Bari—Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, officiated All-Night Vigil at St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City.

The archpastor was concelebrated by the cathedral clergy, as well as by the Dean of the Central States, Priest Joshua Genig, and Acting Rector of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Elizabeth, NJ, Priest Julian Ryabtsev.

The service was attended by the Consul General of Russia in New York, A.G. Markov, and his wife. Following the conclusion of the divine service, a meeting took place between Bishop Matthew and Alexei Gennadievich at the Representation of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA. The Consul General congratulated His Grace on his 55th birthday and on the patronal feast of the cathedral.
